What’s New? macOS Big Sur, for sure !

Again, Apple introduce new macOS Big Sur for more beautiful new design.

As per Apple’s press release in Cupertino, California on June 22nd 2020, Apple introduce new macOS Big Sur includes the biggest Safari update ever and powerful enhancements to Messages, Maps, and privacy.

It is the latest version of the world’s most advanced desktop operating system. MacOS Big Sur introduces a beautiful redesign that is entirely new yet instantly familiar. The new operating system borrows a number of elements from Apple’s iOS, including a customizable Control Center, where you can toggle brightness, Do Not Disturb, and other settings of your choice; and a new notification center, which keeps all of your notifications and widgets (also redesigned, and available in the App Store) in one column, sorts alerts by most recent, and groups related notifications together.

Menu Bar

The menu bar is now taller and more translucent, the interface’s font color changes based on the color of your desktop background, and pull-down menus are larger with more space between lines. You can pin the items you use the most to the top of the menu bar. Windows are also more translucent, with more rounded edges.

Safari and Privacy

Safari brings new features for greater personalization while browsing the web. Users can customize the new start page with a background image and sections like their Reading List and iCloud Tabs. With built-in translation, Safari can detect and translate entire webpages from seven languages with just a click.3 Users can further personalize their experience with improved support for extensions, and the Mac App Store makes it easy to discover and download great Safari extensions with a new category that includes editorial spotlights and top charts. Privacy has always been built into Safari, and a new Privacy Report delivers added visibility into how Safari protects browsing activity across the web. Users can choose when and which websites a Safari extension can work with, and tools like data breach password monitoring never reveal your password information — not even to Apple.

Maps

There’s a new version of Maps for Mac that borrows features from the iOS app, including custom Guides, 360-degree location views, bicycle and electric-vehicle directions (which you can send directly to an iPhone), live updates for shared ETAs, congestion zones, and indoor maps. New detailed maps are coming to more countries — including Canada, Ireland, and the UK — later this year.

Why Designer Loves Macs?

Many people also asking the same thing. Why designer loves using Mac to support their works? especially for designing.

Here are some answers:

Font rendering; from a design perspective, Mac has classically been better at rendering font. From the designers perspective Apple represent all that is cool about design. Indeed as much thought has gone into the aesthetics of Apple products including Mac’s, as has gone into the technology inside. The software and OS is intuitive and when compared to Windows, it wins hands down. What Apple offers designers is something that has been well thought through, is easy and simple to use and which ultimately appeals to their sensibilities.

Macs offer the easiest means of getting their ideas into reality and that is the reason why they will always turn to Apple over any other. There is also the likelihood that most designers cut their creative teeth on a Mac and as such are not comfortable using anything else.

Apple Mac’s were always too pricey for the domestic market, especially in the early days, so it was predominately businesses and professional institutions that did shell out for the hardware, their love of which meant they were sure to remain loyal to the brand. Mac users it was often said would never consider changing to another manufacturer and because of this Apple occupied its own niche for many years – that of providing highly powerful PC’s capable of handling memory sucking software and perfect for the production of graphic designs, technical drawings and handling complex data sets.
